Please note that basil hydrosol is at least five times more concentrated than other hydrosols on the market. It is recommended to dilute it using distilled water at a ratio of 5:1 (five parts water to one part hydrosol). Due to its high concentration, this hydrosol has a lower pH and does not require preservatives unless further diluted. However, if diluted, a natural preservative such as Geogard ECT should be added at 1% concentration to maintain a shelf life of 1-2 years.
