Pepha®-Tight CB is a meticulously purified extract derived through biotechnological processes from the microalgae Nannochloropsis oculata, complemented by a precisely balanced fraction of polysaccharides. Functioning as a skin tightener, it imparts immediate firmness to the skin. Research indicates its ability to shield human fibroblasts from oxidative stress while concurrently enhancing collagen formation. This dual action promotes a lasting tightening effect by fortifying the skin's connective tissue.
Versatile in application, Pepha®-Tight CB is suitable for various skin-tightening formulations, including lifting products, masks, décolleté treatments, gels, and serums.
Comparative testing by the manufacturer between Pepha®-Tight and Pepha®-Tight CB reveals that the removal of preservatives does not adversely affect the tested formulations or their stability. In systems utilizing electrolyte-sensitive thickeners, Pepha®-Tight CB exhibits a lower viscosity decrease compared to Pepha®-Tight. Additionally, there is no significant difference in color change at different pH levels between the two products.

HOW TO USE
- Must be processed cold (<50C/122F) and incorporated in the final phase of a cosmetic formulation
- The optimal pH range for formulations containing Pepha-Tight® is between 5.0 and 7.0

Pepha®-Tight is compatible with ethanol at concentrations up to 10%
- Pepha®-Tight is an opalescent to turbid liquid, so slightly turbid liquid so it's usual to observe a slight turbidity of clouding in aqueous solutions containing this active. This doesn't influence the activity of Pepha®-Tight in a cosmetic formula.
