Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is a highly stable, oil-soluble Vitamin C ester known for its potent antioxidant properties, effectively inhibiting lipid peroxidation. When applied topically, it serves to counteract the detrimental effects of UV exposure on the skin. Scientific studies indicate that Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate stimulates collagen production, contributing to improved skin elasticity. Additionally, it demonstrates skin-clarifying and brightening effects by inhibiting melanogenesis, the process of pigment production, resulting in a more uniform skin tone. Notably, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate distinguishes itself from ascorbic acid by its non-exfoliating and non-irritating characteristics, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
